“ARCHITECTURE: THE COMMON” is the title of the Second International Congress of Architecture and Society, organized by the Architecture and Society Foundation and run by the architect Luis Fernandez-Galiano. The event will take place in Pamplona on 20, 21 and 22 June 2012.

The Congress will be attended by leading figures in the world of architecture.
The inaugural lecture will be given by British architect Sir Norman Foster, and will be closed by the three architects from the Iberian Peninsula awarded with the Pritzker Prize: 
 the Spanish architects Rafael Moneo and Portuguese Alvaro Siza and Eduardo Souto de Moura.

The other invited international architects will be grouped into three sets of papers,that would be titled ‘Architecture and shelter’, ‘Architecture and effectiveness’ and ‘Architecture and pleasure’, presented by patrons of the Foundation, and followed by discussions moderated by several historians and critics from different countries, which also act as rapporteurs.
